Why Blogging Has Turned Me into a Bad Friend

Class will start soon, so I only have time for a short confessional today. Blogging has made me a bad friend. First of all, since my computer time is limted, I end up spending most of that time working on my own blog or reading other people's. So, I run out of time to compose all of my long juicy e-mails like the one that I promised to send to Teresa.

Secondly, by the time I write my daily blog, I feel like I've already talked about whatever subject I'm currently interested in. It's like when your mom calls you on your way home from work, so you tell her about the stuff that happened, and then you don't want to say it again to your husband twenty minutes later. E-mailing seems so redundant. I think to myself, "You want to know what's going on? Read the blog!" Kind of like I just did to Teresa in the previous paragraph, when I answered her e-mail question ("Where is my juicy e-mail?") in my blog and expect her to find it there. (Note: the fact that I e-mailed out a linked reminder to friends about the blog contest yesterday does not appease my conscience)

I have given myself the penance that I must write at least three e-mails (personal, not mass) by the end of this week. Yours will be first, T!

Well...if it appeases your conscience any, it made me feel really special that you wrote that. So its okay, I forgive you :) And I know what you mean because I feel that the reverse happens sometimes, I tell somebody what I am thinking about, and then what's the point of typing it up?

You don't have to email me. I understand you, fellow blogger!
